South Dakota on track to become 39th state to expand Medicaid under ACA

Beginning July 1, more than 52,000 low-income adults in South Dakota will be eligible for Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced June 30. South Dakota voted in favor of expanding eligibility last year, and CMS recently approved amendments to the state program.
